Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of moving services provided by Alberga Moving Services, based in Frederick, Maryland. By booking a move or requesting a quote, you agree to the terms below.

Services Provided

Alberga Moving Services provides local and long-distance moving services throughout Frederick County and along set long-distance routes, using our own trucks and our own employed crew. We do not subcontract moves to outside carriers.

Quotes and Pricing

Quotes are prepared from the information you provide during a phone call, video walkthrough, or in-home estimate. We provide flat-rate quotes whenever possible so the price you’re given reflects what you’ll be charged, barring a meaningful change in the scope of the job — such as items added after the estimate.

Deposits and Payment

We do not require a deposit to book a move. Payment is collected upon completion of the job, once you’ve had a chance to confirm everything arrived as expected.

Scheduling and Weather Delays

We give an arrival window for every job and aim to arrive within it. Frederick County winters occasionally bring ice storms or nor’easters that can make roads unsafe, particularly around Route 15 and the county’s more rural stretches. If weather puts a scheduled move at risk, our office will contact you to reschedule rather than send a crew into unsafe conditions.

Customer Responsibilities

Please let us know about any unusually heavy, hazardous, or high-value items before moving day, and make sure pathways, elevators, or loading areas are accessible at both the pickup and delivery locations. Additional time needed due to access issues not disclosed in advance may affect final pricing.

Liability and Claims

Alberga Moving Services is licensed and insured, with current general liability and cargo coverage. If an item is damaged during your move, notify our office as soon as possible; our billing and insurance coordinator will walk you through the claims process.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand plans change. Please give our office as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule, so we can adjust crew and truck assignments for other customers.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Our interstate long-distance moves are also subject to applicable federal regulations governing interstate household goods carriers.

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with your confirmed quote, make up the entire agreement between you and Alberga Moving Services for your move. Any changes must be agreed to in writing or confirmed by our office.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your booking applies to your move.
